As you can see I haven't spent a lot of time here : / So here is our latest update...

We survived our long trip from CA to FL! The kids were amazing on the drive. We got a house on base, and we like it.... well most things about it anyway. Unfortunately we have a serious Roach problem - YUCK! But pest control is coming today to hopefully eliminate the disgusting critters.
We went to the Humane Society to expand our little family, and found 2 new additions. Our new furry family members are a lot of work, but a lot of fun too. Whiskey is learning pretty quickly and is a snuggly little man. We think he is part Boxer, what do you think? Tipsy is also very affectionate but her playful kitten side shows itself frequently :) I am hoping that Whiskey will learn that she isn't just a chew toy soon!
The kids have adjusted to the new place for the most part. Chase will start preschool in August which is a great thing, he needs to use that amazing mind of his. Riley LOVES having the animals and is just about potty trained- wooohooo! Brian is liking his new workplace and co-workers, and trying to get back out on a golf course :) I have been playing with my scrapbooking/ card making toys and having a great time! I need to post more of my creations.
My mom and little sister Alexis are coming to visit this month for Riley's 3rd birthday. I can't wait to see them! I am so happy my baby girl will get to have more family to celebrate this big day with :)
Our other new furry friend Tipsy.

I am one of the lucky few that has a husband that makes me feel special..... even from thousands of miles away.
Our time apart is finally nearing an end!!! He comes home on May 4th- I can't wait! :) A few days after he gets back we will begin our journey to Florida. Yikes thats gonna be a long trip with 2 kids under 5! I read up on how to keep the kids entertained in the car for long periods and got some pretty good ideas - I hope. One idea is to buy them little gifts - and when they start making you totally crazy , you give them one. So far I bought them each a lap desk and a color wonders coloring book. I need some more ideas :/
I find myself saying omg is he ever coming home - it seems the closer it gets the longer the days are. I can't wait to have my husband home every night, for my children to have their father. We have a marriage that people dream about. Its not perfect - but its damn close :) I'm sad I have to leave my entire family behind. I adore my family. I am one of those lucky people that has a genuine, wonderful, loving family. I hate taking my kids away from them.
Thank God for skype! At least the kids can talk to the fam whenever they want to. It has also been the way I get to talk to my hubby every day. SO much better than a phone!
I am hoping the kids adjust quickly to our new base. They will finally have their own rooms again! My son ( age 4) is really excited about this. I hope we get a great house on base, but you know what, even if the house sucks we will make it great. We will fill it with love and laughter and make it our home.
